Asian Fusion BBQ Party: Sips
You’ve got massive amounts of salad, pounds of grilled meat, side dishes galore and those annoying neighbors you barely know. Make the menu and their personality a little more palatable with a stiff summer drink. Part 5 of 5.
Queue the music, blaze the grill and get ready to sip a little something for the G’s, yeah. Our go to’s for the Asian Fusion BBQ Party include a serve-your-own yuzu-watermelon punch for those who like sweet and simple … cosmo drinkers exit stage right please. Prep a classic mint julep for those who need to temper the spice, and pour a dainty and sophisticated lightweight white for those demanding pinkies-up drinking even when they’re sweating ^%$&% in someone else’s backyard (who let those people in, anyway?).
Check out this three-drink menu, designed for heat. When the sun sets, hit the scotch and cigars.

Serve these perfect party sips for the guests. For yourself? Don a camelback filled with scotch and tell everyone you're in training for the marathon — must stay hydrated! You will need it.

- 2 parts vodka
- 1 part simple syrup
- 1 part yuzu juice (available online or at most Asian markets)

- Mint leaves
- Muddle mint leaves and sugar cube in a julep cup. Fill with ice and add bourbon. Garnish with a mint sprig.
We’re also sipping Matthiasson Napa Valley White Wine, chill a few bottles before the party.
